Global Inheritance’s TRASHed Recycling Store returned to Aspen, Colorado on January 22- 25. The people of Aspen welcomed us back with open arms, strong coffee and a mission statement. Our job, to rid the Winter X Games festival site of homeless bottles, cans, biodegradable cups and other anti-landfill merchandise. People were scoring cool prizes by the minute by recycling and taking the eco quiz. This years prizes included autographed athlete posters, recycled hand bags, record bags, Fuel TV skatedecks, Playstation 3 games, Loomstate organic jeans/bags, Netflix memberships, Thievery Corporation cds, X Games dvds + more. In order to draw the attentions of skiers/snowboarders everywhere, we even also hosted a TRASHed:: Art of Recycling exhibit. Braving the snow showers, the recycling bins provided the perfect bait to capture people’s attention and keep the recycling store packed all day long. Thank you to all our great prizing partners + all the amazing people at X Game Enviromentality and ESPN who supported the campaign. Special thanks to our amazing volunteers and the population of Aspen. See you next year!
