Dew Tour Gets TRASHed In Portland
September 09, 2010

Festival goers took recycling/composting to another level during this year’s Dew Tour stop in Portland, Oregon thanks to Fuel TV/Alli. The competition was fierce as kids, adults and athletes battled to win the top prizes in the TRASHed Recycling Store. Popular store merchandise included Fuel TV Skate Decks, PS 3 games, Nike 6.0/Dew Tour shirts and autographed merch. Started in 2003, the TRASHed Recycling Store rewards individuals who collect bottles/cans/cups between competitions. Besides catching the best athletes in action sports at Dew Tour, people could get TRASHed all day long to keep the venue spotless while being rewarded for their time. Along the TRASHed Recycling Store, Global Inheritance hosted the TRASHed :: Art of Recycling art gallery which featured 30 + redesigned recycling bins including live recycling bin painting by Ryan Raer, Raskoe, Ashley Montatue and Bwana Spoons. All 4 recycling bins created onsite will be donated to the High Cascade Snowboard Camp at Mt. Hood.
Special thanks to everyone at FUEL TV and Alli for making our first Dew Tour stop a huge success along with Mt.Dew, Playstation, Paul Mitchell, Nike 6.0 and everyone else who donated great product. Huge Props to Michelle & Steve Plotkin who came down to conquer Portland and manage the store along with all our great volunteers. Another big thank you to Paige Prendergast, Nemo and Fuse to help us secure amazing artists in the Portland area.
