Global Inheritance at Goofy Vs. Regular in Los Angeles
September 03, 2010
From October 20th through the 22nd, the biggest names in skateboarding will converge on Lake Forest, CA to participate in the notorious Goofy Vs. Regular skate competition. This year will be badder than the rest because it is Etnies' 20th anniversary and the Beastie Boys are headlining the GvR party.
Global Inheritance has partnered with Etnies to integrate environmental programs to balance the ecological impact of GvR and get people thinking about the big picture.Any car packing four or more friends or rocking a hybrid, electric, or biodiesel ride will receive access to the GvR VIP parking lot and free GVR t-shirts, while supplies last, thanks to the GvR Tour Rider!
People will be encouraged to bring their their old skate VHS tapes (or any VHS tapes) to recycle in exchange for a new Etnies DVD and other cool stuff. You're also welcome to recycle CD jewel cases, and of course, all the bottles/cans generated on the event grounds. We will be trading these items at the TRASHed :: Recycling Store, and give away skateboards, autographed merch, sneakers, and much more. So pack up your VHS tapes and CD jewel cases before heading out!
Also, a specialized set of GvR-inspired TRASHed :: Art of Recycling bins will grace the GvR grounds. After GvR, these redesigned recycling bins will be donated to skate shops/skate parks in Southern California. If you're interested in receiving one of these bins for your park/shop, contact us at gbr@globalinheritance.org.
Do not miss this event. Visit the Goofy Vs. Regular skate competition website for more details. Also, read about the Etnies & Global Inheritance Charity Auction here.
