Our arrival in Michigan was watered down by torrential downpour and thunderstorms, but the skies quickly cleared for a gorgeous 4th of July weekend on the beautiful grounds of the inaugural Rothbury Festival.


With two TRASHed :: Recycling Stores on site, we were overwhelmed with festivalgoers who brought us bags upon bags of empty bottles and cans in exchange for Planet Green t-shirts, beach balls, frisbees, and reusuable shopping bags, Solio solar-powered chargers, Boost Mobile cell phones, Merrill accessories and beach blankets, Guitar Hero, Nike sneakers, Livitiy iPod cases, Loomstate organic jeans, Thievery Corporation CDs, Logitech gear, even a Gibson Epiphone guitar!


Thanks to our partner Planet Green for all of the help, and CLIF Bar for feeding people who stopped by our recycling centers. A huge, incredible thank you goes out to the volunteers who pitched in, especially to the following: Terence Frixen, Kelly and all of Planet Green, Sarah at Spitfire, and everyone at Madison House, AEG, as well as the Double JJ Ranch staff.
