Calling All Artists – Get TRASHed, Inspire The Masses & Attend Coachella

Global Inheritance is now accepting submissions for TRASHed Coachella 2013.
If you’re world famous or locally known, seize the opportunity to exhibit your art/
design/conceptual work and help keep the polo fields free of rogue bottles and cans.

Skills and imagination are equally important, so choose your examples wisely!

Send your art submissions to :: coachella@globalinheritance.org

Sending us a link to your TRASHed Coachella art submission or website is preferable. If
you’re planning to send us images as attachments, PLEASE don’t send any emails larger
than 2.0mb or we will feed you piece by piece to our Polar Bears. A great way to send
large files is via yousendit.com – which won’t cost a dime unless you’re
planning to send a 3TB portfolio (again, please don’t).

Celebrity judge Pedley Mangler will be selecting and vetoing this year’s artists. All
confirmed artists will receive a 65 gallon blank recycling bin. We will start distributing
recycling bins in November. Winning TRASHed Coachella 2013 artists will be announced on February 20th.

Each winning artist will receive a Coachella pass for the weekend of their choice. Mr.
Mangler is also offering a second Coachella pass to any artist who steps up and designs
a Pedley Mangler/Lance Armstrong champions forever recycling bin that he can
personally use during the festival.

After Coachella, the TRASHed Coachella bins will be donated to schools across
California. If you’re looking to secure TRASHed bins for your school, email us for
additional info :: artofrecycling@globalinheritance.org

Perhaps a bad question, but this is my first year hearing about the contest to design a recycling bin.
is there any preference on the initial design submission?
    sketches?
    black and white, color?
    paintings?

just looking for a few more specifics!
    thanks!

      Hi Megan,
For the initial submission we expect cool concept or art samples (under 2 MB). Sketches are fine. B&W, color, whatever fits your style/concept the best.
You are going against other artists so put your best foot forward!

Do I have to be or live in the USA to paticipate?

Hi Maria, no, you don’t need to be from the US. However if you win you’d need to cover the shipping/travelling costs.

Are you still accepting submissions or have you chosen all the artists already? And how many are you allowed to submit per artist?

    Thanks!

Because of Nemo… is it possible to extend the deadline? Especially for the New Englanders…

Hi Yvonne, I’m afraid that we cannot extend the deadline further than Feb 20th, because it would compromise the time artists will have to paint and ship the bins. But that’s more than a week! Good luck!
