This 20 ft high, half robot/half dinosaur, will be roaming the Coachella festival grounds looking for hand outs. We request that you please feed him. His diet is empty is bottles/cans… and possibly fingers depending on how close you get to him (so watch out). We are anticipating one fat T-Rex after the two sold out festivals. To help with his waistline, we are integrating a digestive system that will allow him to take giant square T-Rex droppings.

Right now, we are offering a special Coachella prize pack for the person who comes up with the best idea on how to use the dino-droppings onsite. Each dropping will be similar in size to a bale of hay.

The highest scoring game In Indianapolis this week took place at the Super Bowl Village. Eli and Tom took a breather as thousands of football fans stood in line for a chance to generate kinetic energy by running on our giant hamster wheels and scoring touchdowns. A LED bulb (powered by the wheel) lit up for every 10 yards the participant traveled. Travel 100 yards and you’ll reach the finish lines. We apologize to everyone that the lines were a little long (1 hour plus at times) but hopefully the experience (and photos) were worth the wait. Our Polar Bear even escaped from the LA Zoo to lend a hand and get everyone excited.

Thank you to everyone at the Super Bowl Host Committee, EA Sports (our prizing partners) and the City of Indianapolis. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Indy 500!

Have you ever thought you were going around in circles? If not, then you still have time to hit the road to the Super Bowl to compete in the coolest, 100-yard dash competition ever.
Putting a new twist on the energy race, Global Inheritance and the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee are working together to energize football fans for ten days starting January 27th.

All you need to do is visit the Super Bowl Village, find the Global Inheritance area, stretch, grab a football and start running. We will feature two human powered hamster wheels. One dedicated to each fan base of the competing teams. This energy spectacular will decide once and for all who is the most “powerful” conference. Each day, the top 100-yard dash scores will be announced and trophies/prizes given out. On February 5th, the division that generated the most energy will be crowned champion!

Inspire Thousands Of Festival Goers And Win A Pass To the Weekend Of Your Choice.

Coachella Music & Arts Festival and Global Inheritance are confirming artists to participate in the TRASHed exhibit taking place this April in Indio, California.

Founded in 2004, the TRASHed :: Art of Recycling program is an interactive art walk on the Coachella grounds that encourages festival goers to recycle using redesigned recycling bins designed by artists from around the world.
50 artists will be selected to design a 65 gallon recycling bin for the festival in 2012. These recycling bins will be on display during both Coachella weekends and then donated to a local school in the Coachella Valley.

A TRASHed Coachella art exhibit will take place in Los Angeles before all the redesigned recycling bins are shipped to the festival grounds.

All artists will receive a festival pass for the weekend of their choice plus the opportunity to have their artwork displayed and promoted on the Coachella and Global Inheritance websites.

Interested artists must submit samples of their work before January 31st to:
TRASHed@globalinheritance.org

PLEASE KEEP ALL ATTACHMENTS UNDER 2MB

We are currently in the process of cloning our Polar Bear to better serve Global Inheritance’s educational tactics. Before the end of the year, we will announce the experiment’s results.

Lab hours aren’t cheap and feeding the bears can break the bank, so we are organizing a Polar Eclipse fundraiser. On November 18th (the release date of Breaking Dawn. Part 1), we are blocking out the sun and fundraising for a full month to pay the cloning expenses. If you’re interested in getting involved (or in donating to the cause), please email hipolar@globalinheritance.org

Global Inheritance ventured to the great north of Whistler, BC to join The North Face Canada for the world premier of All.I.Can. This film by Sherpas Cinema is the latest and greatest in ski films, but also takes on the task of exploring sustainability and skiers responsibility for protecting their playground. In addition to sponsoring the film, The North Face partnered with GI at the Sustainability Symposium prior to the premiere.

This event was open to the public and hosted exhibits from the leading outdoor companies and sustainability advocates. TNF and Global Inheritance made their mark upon the event by offering cause focused live screen-printing on organic cotton t-shirts and charged up the crowd with Tour De Energy bicycles allowing attendees to top off their mobile phones, cameras, and ipods (before returning to the mountain bike trails).

We’d like to thank The North Face Canada for bringing us up to Whistler, Sherpas Cinema for tackling pressing environmental issues and creating an groundbreaking ski film and of course the charming officers of Canadian Customs.

If everything is bigger in Texas, their fishing is no exception. The Toyota Texas Bass Classic takes fishing to the next level by pulling together the top 50 bass fishermen in the world to battle it out for the heavyweight title of bass fishing. While touring the event grounds and waiting for the tournament’s day-end “weigh-in” visitors were able to take a turn at the Global Inheritance Energy Playground.

Located amidst Toyota’s hybrid energy vehicles the attendees could find an Energy Seesaw, Tour De Energy Bikes, and enjoy a Solar powered snow cone . Riders could charge up their cell phones, cameras, ipods, and other devices or try their hand at the Human Powered Arcade : Bass Fishing Tournament, which challenged participants to catch the days largest virtual bass to win a Jansport backpack. Each night was finished off with a concert by a top country act (Billy Currington, Pat Green, and Robert Earl Keen) if you still had energy!

We were glad to see the great attention paid by event attendees to the hybrid and plug in vehicles and the tournament’s attention to sustainable fishing.
