The Evolution of Recycling

The Evolution of Recycling

The TRASHed Recycling Store began its history 10 years ago. What began as a non-profit’s passion project to help keep festivals clean has evolved into an evergreen program that has graced some of the biggest events across the globe. The initiative has taught people the art of recycling, while saving millions of bottles/cans/cups from the clutches of the landfill.

The Recycling Store is one of our favorite programs because the act of recycling is simple, easy to do, and benefits everyone. While inspiring a small group of hardcore advocates to recycle every bottle/can known to man would be welcome, our aim is to provide a positive and meaningful experience for all. We want every event attendee to get excited about recycling, to see the value in taking this simple step and carry it beyond event venues – into their homes, schools, offices and neighborhoods.

The past two months alone have been a huge hit for the Recycling Store. From the bright flashy lights of Las Vegas to the sands of Huntington Beach to the East Coast woodlands of Delaware, hundreds of thousands of music and sports fans have proven that recycling is the “OG” of environmental activism.

With the help of thousands of amazing people + great partners, we have saved over 117,000 bottles, cans, and biodegradable cups so far this summer.

Thanks to everyone who took part in our recycling initiatives!
