About The Program

The TRASHed :: Recycling Store is an interactive recycling program that encourages people to recycle renewable materials that accumulate on-site at large events and festivals.

Using recyclable bottles, cans, and biodegradable cups as a form of currency, people are able to “buy” merchandise from the TRASHed :: Recycling Store. The more people recycle, the more they win! In the past, the TRASHed :: Recycling Store has given away everything from backstage passes, autographed merchandise, DVDs, sunglasses, backpacks, video games, skate decks, movie merchandise, and much more.

TRASHed :: Recycling Stores have been featured at events ranging from the Coachella Music Festival to the Teen Choice Awards and has developed experiences unique to each event. A true key to our success is outfitting the TRASHed :: Recycling Stores with merchandise specific to the audience attending each event.

By providing an entertaining and interactive vehicle for people to actively recycle, the TRASHed program develops a deeper awareness about recycling, keeps event venues clean, and allows individuals to receive rewards for their efforts.
