Next month at Coachella, we invite all fashion enthusiasts and music fans to showcase their creativity while championing sustainability by participating in the newest Global Inheritance’s program - Casual Fridays.
Participants must share the story behind the transformation of their outfit. Winners will be determined by our panel of fashion experts and by audience response.
Casual Friday Categories Include:
📼 Pre-You Vintage
A thrifted look from a decade you didn’t live through (anything earlier than your birth year). This is a styling category. You’ll need to provide a story on each piece, and its era.
🌎 Planet Friendly
An original outfit built from sustainable, organic or reclaimed materials (fabric scraps, deadstock, plants, upcycled textiles, etc.). All clothing and accessories are designed, sewed or put together by you.
🧾 Saving Receipts
Your best head-to-toe thrifted fit sourced from Coachella Valley thrift stores. Support local businesses and design your outfits with the help of incredible vintage stores including Thriftology, Assistance League Coachella Valley Resale Boutique, Desert Best Friends Closet, Martha's Village Thrift Store and Revival Stores in Indio
🎫 Coachella 2026 Remix
An outfit assembled from pre-loved Coachella merch or artist merch from the 2026 lineup. A reworked outfit made from pre-loved Coachella merch or artist merch from this year’s 2026 lineup. We want to see all the artist tees, hoodies, hats, totes, pins, patches, bandanas, totes, posters, and more!
All category winners receive artist guest or VIP upgrades and are walked into the venue before doors for a special photo shoot.
