Desert Daze 2018 rolled out the red carpetand invited everyone to the new festival site at Moreno Beach this past weekend. Our Recycling Store and POSTed Studio programs provided festival attendees a stage to shine, reduce the festival footprint and get creative. Thanks to the legion of recyclers in camping and main venue, Lake Perris never looked so good! The Recycling Store offered everything from beer and festival merchandise to weekend getaways at the Ace Hotel and camping gear in exchange for people's empty bottles/cans/cups and cartons. All day long recyclables wererescued and placed in better homes.Across the way, the POSTed Studio tapped into people's creativity and displayed the issues that matter most to the Desert Daze crowd. All the poster concepts were displayed throughout the weekend and now are being reviewed by our featured artists Blake Kathryn, Asta Ostrovskaja, Barry Blankenship, Vinidus Gut, Tavo Santiago, Nataly Menjivar, Christoper Konecki and Adam Villanueva for a potential redesign. Posterredesignswill be shared in the next GInewsletter!A huge thank you to the Desert Daze team, our amazing managers + volunteers and all the incredible attendees who supported us at the festival!
