Each performance introduces key clean energy sources while giving students concrete ideas for saving energy at school, at home, and in their communities.
Our Energy Battle Royale program (launched in 2007) began as an educational comic coloring book, which invited participants at live events to read about energy-themed superheroes while personalizing their favorite characters and scenes with colorful details. Rounds of development and iteration has transformed the program into a live, theatrical “battle” where energy sources are personified as superheroes, showcasing their unique strengths and limitations. Drawing inspiration from a classic “battle royale” format, students learn the pros and cons of each energy source and choose which they will cheer on and support to advance.
