Global Inheritance returned to Joshua Tree this past month to join our friends at theDesert Daze Music Festival. This year's programs included the Recycling Store and the POSTed Studio which provided all festival attendees the opportunity to either give back to the community by cleaning up the grounds or showcase their creative skills by developing issue driven poster concepts.
Over 10,000 cans and bottles were rescuedas participants were rewarded with awesome prizes donated by our friendsPoler,Obey Clothing,Burton, Desert Daze,Corkcicleand others! In order to tap into festival goers who are motivated by other things, we partnered withAngel City Breweryto offer beer vouchers to those recyclers who picked up at least 10 bottles/cans from the campsite.
The POSTed Studio provided festival attendees the opportunity to express their concerns for our planet using art supplies provided to create a campaign posters which in turn will have a chance to be selected to be redesigned by a professional artists and/or designer. These co-collaboration posters are then provided online at no cost for inspiration, rallies, school presentations or other non-commercial purposes.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and a special shout out to the POSTed Studio headlining artists!
Hope to see more of you at Desert Daze 2018!
